The Chhattisgarh government’s ambitious Krishak Unnati Yojana continues to empower farmers economically, as paddy procurement for the Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26 moves ahead smoothly across Rajnandgaon district. Farmers are benefiting from farmer-friendly initiatives, including support price procurement, transparent procedures and a seamless online token system through the ‘Tuhar Hath’ mobile app.
District paddy procurement centres are witnessing rapid purchases of farmers’ actual produce, with cultivators arriving at their designated centres after generating tokens online. Among them was farmer Obeeeram Verma from village Hardi, who sold 40 quintals of paddy at the Sukuldaihan procurement centre under Rajnandgaon development block.

Obeeram, who owns 1 acre 90 dismil of agricultural land, said he recorded a good yield this season. He expressed satisfaction with the online token facility, which allowed him to sell his crop smoothly and on time. “The procurement process is completely transparent and farmer-friendly. The arrangements at the society are good, and purchasing is being done promptly,” he added.
Thanking Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the farmer also appreciated the state government’s decision to procure 21 quintals per acre at the rate of ₹3,100, which, he said, has significantly increased farmers’ income and strengthened agricultural livelihoods across the region.
