Viral Video of Youths Performing Stunts on JCB and Tractors Leads to Challan, License Suspension Action

In a decisive move against reckless driving and stunt performances, the Khairagarh Traffic Police have initiated strict legal action against youth involved in a viral stunt video recorded during the Harela festival rally in Karamtara village on July 24, 2025.
The video, which showed individuals performing stunts on JCBs, tractors, and Mazdas, quickly gained traction on social media. Following verification, authorities found that the drivers, including JCB driver Manish Sahu, were in violation of multiple sections of the Motor Vehicle Act. Traffic police imposed a total fine of ₹8,000 across several cases and have submitted requests for license suspension to the Transport Department.

As part of broader enforcement in 2025, 129 cases have been sent for license suspension in the district. Of these, 64 licenses have already been suspended for violations such as:
- Passenger transport in goods vehicles (32 out of 76 cases)
- Using mobile phones while driving (22 out of 30 cases)
- Driving under the influence of alcohol (10 out of 23 cases)

The authorities continue to enforce safe driving practices. Special emphasis is being placed on:
- Avoiding passenger transport in goods vehicles
- Equipping pre-2019 vehicles with HSRP number plates
- Educating the public to inform local police and revenue offices before organizing rallies or public events
- Encouraging emergency aid for accident victims during the golden hour
The traffic department has reiterated its commitment to public safety and has intensified awareness efforts across the region.
