The Chhattisgarh Jagruk Shikshak Sangh (Registration No. 122202595034) submitted a memorandum to Block Education Officer (BEO) Prashant Chirvartkar, demanding rectification of errors in the recently issued seniority list of assistant teachers. The delegation, led by Block President Amardas Banjare, highlighted glaring discrepancies in the list, stating that teachers with later appointment dates have been placed above their seniors.
Speaking to the press, Union Block Patron and State Vice President Birendra Sahu, along with State Secretary Rajendra Ladekar, said that such anomalies have created unrest among teachers. “Several senior educators have been unfairly ranked lower than their juniors. This undermines the integrity of the education department’s administrative processes,” they added.

Taking the matter seriously, the union urged the BEO to correct the inaccuracies at the earliest. Responding to the concerns, BEO Prashant Chirvartkar assured necessary action would be taken as per established rules and regulations. “All feasible support will be extended at the block level to resolve these issues,” he stated.
Additionally, the union emphasized the need to promptly convene a meeting of the Advisory Education Committee, which has not been held for a considerable time. Teachers argue that the absence of these meetings has stalled discussions on crucial local issues. The BEO acknowledged this demand and assured that the meeting would be organized in the near future.
The union also announced plans to escalate the matter to the District Education Officer, where a district-level memorandum will be submitted soon.
The delegation included State President Jakesh Sahu, senior teachers Jaynarayan Sarva, Lokesh Sahu, Kedarnath Jogi, Bhupendra Mandloi, Mohitram Sahu, Gajendra Devangan, Jhankaram Thakur, Kaushal Bhuvarya, and many others.
