Rajnandgaon district has exceeded its seed production registration target under the Rabi 2025–26 Seed Production Programme, achieving coverage of 1,146 hectares against the prescribed target of 1,000 hectares. Officials said the milestone reflects strong farmer participation and focused efforts by the Agriculture Department to promote certified seed production, particularly in pulses and oilseeds.

Reaffirming its commitment to farmers, the state government has accelerated paddy procurement under the Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26, with over 23.48 lakh farmers already selling their produce and payments exceeding ₹29,597 crore. With daily procurement touching 3 lakh metric tonnes, authorities plan to issue more than 70,000 tokens in the next three days to facilitate further sales.
