BJP Kisan Morcha Rajnandgaon District President Daduram Sonkar has welcomed the release of the 22nd installment of PM-Kisan, under which more than ₹18,000 crore was transferred to over 9 crore farmers across India, including more than 24.71 lakh farmers in Chhattisgarh.
Under the direction of Collector Jitendra Yadav, the Agriculture Department is conducting a district-wide campaign to link eligible farmers with government schemes, including completion of e-KYC, Aadhaar seeding and Agristack registration to ensure timely disbursal of the PM-KISAN 23rd installment.
Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam announced that ₹553.34 crore will be disbursed to 25.47 lakh farmers on August 2, 2025, as part of the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. So far, farmers in the state have received a total of ₹9765.26 crore under the scheme. The minister reaffirmed the state’s dedication to farmer welfare through timely delivery of seeds and fertilizers, paddy procurement at ₹3100/quintal, irrigation tax waivers, and targeted support for marginalized groups such as tribal farmers and vanpatta holders. Initiatives like the “Drone Didi” scheme and crop diversification efforts further highlight the government’s modern, inclusive approach to boosting agricultural productivity and rural livelihoods.
