School Education and Rajnandgaon District In-charge Minister Gajendra Yadav inaugurated a new Government High School building worth ₹75.23 lakh at Morkutumb village and announced its upgradation to a Higher Secondary School from the next academic session. He also distributed bicycles and textbooks to students while highlighting the state government's focus on quality education, smart classrooms and stronger parental participation.

Collector Jitendra Yadav has suspended former Patwari Vinod Kumar Meshram after serious irregularities were found in the revenue records of Khasra No. 368 in Pendri village, Rajnandgaon. A departmental inquiry has also been ordered following findings that excess land was recorded in official records, leading to subsequent revenue proceedings.

The annual Anasara tradition is being observed at Rajnandgaon’s historic Shri Jagannath Temple, where Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra are ceremonially offered a special Ayurvedic herbal decoction during their 15-day period of seclusion. As part of the long-standing ritual, temple sevayats received the sacred preparation from Baba Ramdev Temple, continuing a tradition that has been preserved in the city for decades.

छत्तीसगढ़ के उपमुख्यमंत्री विजय शर्मा ने सरपंचों से गांवों में भूजल स्तर बढ़ाने को सबसे बड़ी उपलब्धि बनाने का आह्वान किया है। जल संरक्षण, रिचार्ज पिट, डबरी, चेक डैम और वर्षा जल संचयन जैसे उपायों को अपनाकर ग्रामीण विकास को टिकाऊ बनाने का संदेश देते हुए उन्होंने पानी बचाने को भविष्य की सबसे महत्वपूर्ण जिम्मेदारी बताया।
