Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh visited the Maa Bamleshwari Temple premises today to inaugurate and lay the foundation for development projects totaling ₹39 crore 23 lakh 11 thousand. Among the key highlights of his visit was the inauguration of a state-of-the-art diagnostic center at the Maa Bamleshwari Charitable Hospital, which now houses modern medical equipment including a CT scan machine, digital X-ray, and sonography unit.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao and MP Santosh Pandey were present on the occasion. Dr. Singh emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chhattisgarh is rapidly moving towards all-round development. “Today’s development works will directly benefit residents of Dongargarh, especially with the upcoming Y-shape overbridge project bringing major relief in transportation,” he said.

He also highlighted the government’s welfare efforts including procurement of 21 quintals of paddy per farmer, two years’ bonus, and benefits to 70 lakh women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana.

Praising the Maa Bamleshwari Trust Committee, Dr. Singh lauded the initiation of the diagnostic center as a noble act that will eliminate the need for residents to travel to Raipur or Rajnandgaon for advanced diagnostics.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao echoed the sentiment, stating that the new diagnostic center will make affordable healthcare more accessible. He reiterated the government’s commitment to fulfilling each of the guarantees made under the Modi administration. “Our aim is to make every city in Chhattisgarh clean, beautiful, and equipped with full civic amenities,” he said.

MP Santosh Pandey noted that under the PRASAD scheme and Amrit Bharat initiative, Dongargarh and surrounding regions are witnessing accelerated infrastructure development including the construction of a major railway station within a 30-kilometer radius.

Dongargarh MLA Harshita Baghel also addressed the gathering. The welcome speech was delivered by Maa Bamleshwari Trust Committee President Manoj Agrawal. Other dignitaries present included District Panchayat President Kiran Vaishnav, Municipal Council Chairman Raman Dongre, District Cooperative Bank Chairman Sachin Baghel, Vice President Kiran Sahu, and several other public representatives, trust officials, social leaders, and citizens.

Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh paid tribute to Mamta-Mayee Minimata, recalling her lifelong struggle against social evils and her pioneering role as the first woman MP from Madhya Pradesh in 1952. Speaking at the Mamta-Mayee Minimata Nirvan Diwas, held at Guru Ghasidas Cultural Hall, Dr. Singh administered the oath to newly elected office-bearers of the District Satnami Seva Samiti and announced ₹10 lakh for development works.
