Describing the Somnath Temple as a timeless symbol of the triumph of creation over destruction, District BJP President Komal Singh Rajput said that the temple stands as a testament to India’s spiritual resilience and unbroken faith. He was addressing the celebrations held under the ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv,’ organised nationwide on the appeal of the Modi-led Central Government.
As part of the observance, Maha Rudrabhishek and Deepotsav were organised at Shiva temples across Rajnandgaon district. BJP workers and office-bearers at the mandal and municipal levels performed special prayers and rituals in Shiv temples to commemorate the completion of 1,000 years of unwavering devotion towards the Somnath Temple.
Komal Singh Rajput stated that the programme was conducted across all mandals and urban areas, where devotees offered prayers, performed Rudrabhishek, and lit lamps as an expression of reverence and spiritual unity. He said the Somnath Temple reflects India’s civilisational strength and the eternal nature of Sanatan faith, which has withstood repeated adversities through history.
