Gayatri Vidya Mandir (Hindi Medium), Kanchanbag, witnessed a joyful celebration of creativity, knowledge, and culture as the school hosted its Science Exhibition and Bal Mela. The event beautifully combined scientific curiosity with spiritual values, offering a holistic learning experience for students and visitors.
Young students showcased a variety of innovative and educational models. Highlights included an automatic fire extinguisher that detects heat and activates on its own, models on waste material management, satellite communication, carbon purification, the human brain, and a silk worm life cycle crafted entirely from clay — all of which drew significant attention.
Under the theme of spiritual and cultural learning, students presented models of the Dashavatara, twelve Jyotirlingas, and demonstrated the significance of “Ushapan” along with daily-use Vedic mantras, reflecting their cultural grounding. Students Sonia and Ojaswini delivered a moving presentation on Operation Sindoor through models and poetry.
A special stall featuring Chhattisgarh’s culture — including local cuisine, festivals, folk artists, temples, and tourist attractions — captivated visitors and highlighted the state’s rich heritage.
In the mathematics section, students created an engaging Geometry Park, demonstrated math magic tricks, showcased 3D shapes, and explained different types of angles. A model illustrating the ancient Gurukul education system attracted appreciation, while other exhibits highlighted great figures of Hindi literature, tales of India’s courageous women warriors, and concepts of Hindi and Sanskrit grammar. The Art & Craft section, in particular, earned special praise from parents.
