Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm birthday wishes to veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani on the occasion of his 98th birthday, praising his decades of service to public life and his role in shaping contemporary Indian politics. The Prime Minister conveyed his message through social media and official communication, highlighting Advani’s dedication, discipline, and commitment to the country.

L.K. Advani, one of the founding members of the BJP, has been a central figure in Indian political discourse for several decades. He has served in various key roles, including Deputy Prime Minister of India, Union Home Minister, and as the leader of several major national political movements. His contributions are widely acknowledged across party lines for their significant influence on national policy and organizational development.

In his message, Prime Minister Modi described Advani as a guiding figure whose principles continue to inspire leaders and party workers. Modi noted that Advani’s public life has been marked by integrity and a deep sense of responsibility toward democratic values. He emphasized that the veteran leader’s clarity of thought and long-term vision played an important role in strengthening the democratic framework of India.

President Droupadi Murmu and other senior leaders from political and public life also extended their greetings on the occasion. Several prominent figures described Advani as a statesman whose experience and influence continue to be respected nationally.

Throughout the day, various leaders, party members, and supporters visited Advani’s residence in New Delhi to convey their wishes. The BJP headquarters and several state units also acknowledged the occasion by sharing messages of respect and gratitude.

While Advani has largely withdrawn from active politics in recent years, his role in shaping the party’s ideological and organizational foundation remains widely acknowledged. His leadership during key phases of political transformation in India is considered a defining chapter in the country’s political history.

No large public event was organized in view of Advani’s advanced age, but the expressions of goodwill from across the country reflected his lasting influence. Party leaders stated that Advani’s commitment to public service continues to serve as a model for future generations of political workers.
