The Chhattisgarh School Education Department has issued promotion orders for 845 newly promoted principals (T-Cadre). To allocate postings, open counseling sessions will be conducted from August 20 to 23, 2025 at the Government College of Education campus, Shankar Nagar, Raipur.
According to the schedule, counseling will begin daily at 10 a.m., with 150 candidates in the first session and 150 in the second session, allowing 300 participants each day. The detailed schedule, including the list of promoted principals and available vacancies, has been published on the department’s official website: https://eduportal-cg-nic-in/.
Placement priorities will be determined strictly as per seniority and service rules. The order of preference has been set for Lecturers, Lecturers (L.B.), and Headmasters of pre-secondary schools in a 2:1:1 ratio, in accordance with recruitment and promotion norms. The quota distribution is 65% for Lecturers (70% general lecturers and 30% L.B. lecturers) and 25% for Headmasters.

Special priority will be given to candidates retiring within one year, followed by differently-abled candidates (male and female), then female candidates, and finally male candidates in order of seniority.
Promoted principals are required to bring their service certificate verified by their current head of institution, original posting details, and a government-approved photo ID. Differently-abled candidates must produce a valid disability certificate.
The waiting hall will be Seminar Room No. 1, while Counseling Room No. 2 will be used for the process. Only candidates will be allowed entry to these rooms. Those absent on their allotted date will be given a final chance on August 23. After counseling concludes, posting orders will be issued by the government, and candidates must assume charge at their new institution within seven days of issuance.
