No Eligible Family Should Be Left Out of PM Ujjwala Yojana Benefits: Collector Jitendra Yadav

Collector holds meeting with gas agency operators; directs quick connection distribution and wide publicity to ensure full coverage under PMUY 3.0

District Collector Jitendra Yadav held a meeting with gas agency operators at the Collectorate Conference Hall to review the effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY).

Collector Yadav emphasized that the Ujjwala Yojana is a major initiative aimed at improving the living standards, health, and safety of women while promoting the use of clean cooking fuel. He instructed officials to ensure that no eligible family is deprived of the scheme’s benefits and to accelerate the process of providing gas connections to all eligible beneficiaries.

He directed agencies to publicize gas connection distribution details through panchayat notice boards and local information channels, ensuring transparency and awareness. The Collector also asked that applications received during the “Sushasan Tihar” campaign be resolved on a priority basis, and eligible beneficiaries be provided with gas connections promptly.

Collector Yadav further instructed Food Department officials to follow up regularly on the progress.

Food Officer Ravindra Soni informed that 1,73,000 families in Rajnandgaon district have already benefited under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, and under Ujjwala 3.0, the district has been allotted a target of 5,618 new gas connections. Each eligible woman beneficiary will receive a free LPG connection, gas stove, and the first refill under the scheme.

The meeting was attended by officials from the Food Department and representatives of various gas agencies.

Eligibility and Application Process:
To avail of the PM Ujjwala Yojana benefits, eligible women must submit an application form along with the following documents:

  • Copies of Aadhaar cards of all family members
  • Copy of the female head’s bank account
  • Copy of the ration card

Applications will be collected offline and submitted to the respective gas agency, which will then enter the data online and conduct Aadhaar verification. After verification, a list of eligible beneficiaries will be published. Subsequently, e-KYC will be completed, followed by the issuance of a subscription voucher and installation of the LPG connection.
