Enhanced Capacity to Benefit 6,502 Consumers Across 21 Villages Under Chief Minister’s Power Infrastructure Scheme

In a major step toward strengthening rural electricity infrastructure, a new 3.15 MVA power transformer was energized today at the Pailimeta substation in Khairagarh under the Chief Minister Power Infrastructure Development Scheme.
The energization was carried out by Rajnandgaon Regional Executive Director Mr. Shirish Selat, along with senior officials from the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL), including Project Executive Engineer Mr. Mukesh Kumar Sahu, Khairagarh Division EE Mr. A.K. Dwivedi, STM EE Mr. A.D. Tandon, Assistant Engineers Ms. Kiran Jangde and Ms. Mamta Karmakar, and other staff.

With an investment of ₹73 lakh, the installation of this additional transformer boosts the substation’s total capacity from 5 MVA to 8.15 MVA. The upgrade is expected to directly benefit 6,502 power consumers in 21 villages, enhancing the reliability and voltage quality of the power supply.
Speaking on the development, Executive Engineer Mr. A.K. Dwivedi emphasized that the enhanced capacity will ensure uninterrupted and high-quality electricity supply for households and agricultural users within the substation’s coverage area.
The Chhattisgarh government has prioritized rural electrification, and this latest upgrade is a testament to its commitment to infrastructure improvement, especially in power supply for farming and remote village clusters.
