Officials Instructed to Ensure Transparency and Compliance with RBI Guidelines

Acting on the directives of Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, Additional Collector Prem Prakash Sharma chaired a meeting with representatives of small finance banks, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), and microfinance institutions at the Collectorate.
Sharma emphasized strict adherence to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) guidelines, particularly in matters related to lending and recovery standards. Representatives were instructed to provide customers with clear information on loan interest rates, insurance terms, repayment schedules, grievance redressal mechanisms, nodal officer details, and all charges in Hindi through printed sanction letters and factual statements, ensuring transparency at every step.

All bank branches have been directed to display basic information regarding banking services, loan interest rates, and customer rights as mandated by RBI. Branch managers were specifically asked to ensure that loan disbursement and recovery by agents comply fully with regulatory norms.
To strengthen grievance redressal, the Lead Bank Officer of Rajnandgaon has been designated as the nodal officer for public complaints. Citizens facing issues with banking services may directly approach the Lead Bank office.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Superintendent of Police Mrs. Tanupriya Thakur, District Lead Bank Officer Mr. Munish Sharma, and representatives of small finance and microfinance institutions.
