Community hall, road, and drainage construction to begin in Ward No. 2 and Ward No. 50 with public participation

Continuing the city’s development initiatives, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav performed bhoomipujan for new projects worth ₹17.80 lakhs in Ward No. 2 (Diwan Tola) and ₹25.20 lakhs in Ward No. 50 (Singdai). The works, sanctioned under the Infrastructure Fund and Infrastructure Environmental Cess Fund with the support of MLA Dr. Raman Singh and MP Santosh Pandey, aim to enhance civic amenities across the city’s 51 wards.
In Ward No. 2, projects include cement concreting of roads worth ₹7.80 lakhs in Diwan Tola and ₹10 lakhs in Phulwari’s inner lanes. Meanwhile, Ward No. 50 will see road and drainage construction worth ₹15 lakhs, a community hall for ₹10 lakhs, and road concreting for ₹5.20 lakhs.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mayor Yadav said the projects would soon be visible on the ground, ensuring residents benefit from improved infrastructure. The bhoomipujan was conducted in the presence of Municipal Corporation Chairman Topendra Singh Paras Verma, Leader of Opposition Santosh Pilley, ward councilors Sawan Verma (Ward 2) and Mukesh Sahu (Ward 50), along with several former leaders and local representatives.
The programs saw active participation from ward residents, who welcomed the dignitaries with floral greetings. Officials, including Sub-Engineers Sushma Sahu and Jyoti Sahu, also attended the event, underscoring the civic body’s commitment to timely execution of development works.
