Maheshwari Mahila Mandal Extends Grand Welcome to National President Jyoti Rathi in Rajnandgaon

Makarsankranti celebrations held with cultural performances and felicitation of newly elected office-bearers

The Rajnandgaon Maheshwari Mahila Mandal accorded a grand and ceremonial welcome to newly elected National President Ms Jyoti Rathi during a felicitation and Makarsankranti celebration organised at ABIS Green, Rajnandgaon. The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 150 women from the Maheshwari community.

The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp before Lord Mahesh, followed by Mahesh Vandana. A melodious welcome song was presented by Aruna Soni, Pinky Dhoot and Vinika Daga, setting a devotional and festive tone for the programme.

As part of the Makarsankranti celebrations, cultural presentations depicting the diversity of different Indian states were showcased. The essence of Rajasthan was portrayed by Prerna, Prachi Chitalangiya and Anubha Bhootda. Gujarat’s cultural vibrancy was presented by Neelam, Vaishali Porwal, Sonal and Simran Laddha, while the traditions of Maharashtra were depicted by Pallavi, Neeta, Vaishali Porwal and Toshika Bagani.

A special devotional presentation marking the anniversary of the Ram Temple was performed by Deepa Bagdi, Amita Moondhra, Maya Sushma Rathi, Renu Chitalangiya, Varsha and Sarita Daga. The portrayal of Lord Shri Ram by Samriddhi Maheshwari emerged as a major highlight and drew widespread appreciation from the audience.

The programme was efficiently coordinated by convener Ms Alka Surjan, with active support from Pinky Dhoot, Sheila Gandhi, Varsha Daga, Maya Rathi, Vimla Laddha, Seema Daga and Preeti Chitalangiya.

On the occasion, National President Ms Jyoti Rathi, Patron Ms Saraswati Lohiya, State President Ms Shashi Gattani, State Secretary Ms Roopa Moondhra, State Treasurer Ms Nanda Bhattad, District President Ms Vinita Daga, Local President Ms Deepa Bagdi, National Executive Member Ms Amita Moondhra, along with Maheshwari Panchayat Patron Mr Suryakant Chitalangiya, Mr Brij Kishor Surjan and Maheshwari Panchayat President Mr Pawan Daga were felicitated on the dais.

Addressing the gathering, National President Jyoti Rathi delivered her blessings and guidance, emphasising unity, cultural values and active participation of women in organisational and social development. Other dignitaries present on the dais also shared their thoughts.

Newly elected President Ms Sushma Rathi and Secretary Ms Pinky Dhoot were also felicitated during the programme. The vote of thanks was proposed by Secretary Ms Anita Chitalangiya.

The event marked the concluding programme of the current tenure, during which Ms Deepa Bagdi was congratulated for her leadership. Members of the Maheshwari Mahila Mandal and Maheshwari Panchayat Executive Committee were present in large numbers. The programme concluded with refreshments.
