The state government’s Krishak Unnati Yojana continues to bring tangible benefits to farmers across Chhattisgarh, with many beneficiaries reporting improved financial stability and renewed confidence in agriculture.
Among them is Hemant Verma, a farmer from Murmunda village in Rajnandgaon block, who expressed his happiness after receiving the differential amount credited under the scheme. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday transferred the additional incentive amount to paddy-selling farmers over and above the Minimum Support Price (MSP), strengthening their economic position.

Verma had attended the district-level input assistance distribution programme held at Gandhi Sabhagrah in Rajnandgaon when he received a mobile notification confirming the transfer of funds into his bank account. The message informed him that ₹39,181 had been credited through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under the Krishak Unnati Yojana.
Sharing his experience, Verma said he had sold 53.5 quintals of paddy at the support price. The one-time differential payment has come as significant relief and will assist him in constructing a new house for his family. “This financial support will help me move forward with building my home. It has reduced a major burden,” he said.
He further recalled that the lump-sum assistance received last year had enabled him to invest in improvements in his farming practices. “Earlier, arranging funds for agriculture was difficult. We had to struggle to manage cultivation expenses. Now, with timely financial assistance from government schemes, farming operations have improved and household expenses have become easier to manage,” Verma stated.
The Krishak Unnati Yojana has been designed to ensure that farmers receive better returns for their produce by providing additional financial support beyond the MSP. By directly crediting funds into beneficiaries’ accounts, the scheme ensures transparency and quick disbursal without intermediary delays.

Farmers across the district have reported that the additional incentive not only boosts their income but also encourages them to continue farming with greater enthusiasm. Officials noted that such initiatives are aimed at improving the overall standard of living in rural areas and strengthening the agricultural economy.
For Verma, the impact is both practical and emotional. “The scheme has proven to be highly useful for farmers like me. It gives us confidence and motivates us to focus more on farming,” he said, expressing gratitude to the state government for the initiative.
As more farmers receive differential payments under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, the scheme is increasingly being seen as a key intervention in enhancing agricultural income and supporting rural development in the state.
