Special program in Dongargarh highlights ‘Vocal for Local,’ next-gen GST reforms, and India’s path to self-reliance

A special program was organized at Gol Bazaar, Dongargarh today to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of the ‘GST Savings Festival.’ The event brought together traders, shopkeepers, artisans, and citizens to encourage participation in the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign and to raise awareness about the upcoming generation of GST reforms and their benefits.
The initiative showcased the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) by promoting local artisans, weavers, and indigenous products. Leaders stressed that the reforms will not only strengthen local economies but also provide direct financial relief and empowerment to citizens.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), under the motto “Nagrik Devo Bhava” (Citizens are Divine), is actively spreading awareness of this festival from panchayat to urban levels, ensuring that the campaign connects deeply with common people’s lives.
The program was attended by Member of Parliament Santosh Pandey, senior BJP leader Surendra Singh Bannowana, representatives from the BJP IT Cell, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), and several other public representatives. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, they hailed the festival as a step toward “economic freedom” for citizens.
On this occasion, BJP leaders extended their greetings, stating that the GST Savings Festival is directly tied to the smiles, aspirations, and hopes of every family.
