Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh attended a large-scale Sushasan Tihar (Good Governance Festival) event in Tedsera village under Janpad Panchayat Rajnandgaon, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation for 22 development projects totaling ₹1.21 crore.

The key works included:

  • Tube well and hand pump installations worth ₹19 lakh
  • High mast light and school infrastructure works worth ₹11.30 lakh
  • Development of a local Haat Bazaar, stage, and commercial complexes worth ₹38.95 lakh
  • Smart classroom and cycle stand infrastructure worth ₹26 lakh

He announced the approval of 565 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, distribution of 53 toilets, 58 Ayushman Bharat health cards, and 151 ration cards to eligible beneficiaries. Approval was also granted for the construction of a new Panchayat Bhavan, a 16-lakh “Gaurav Path” (prestige road), a ₹3-lakh cultural building, and a ₹3-lakh concrete road.

Dr. Singh emphasized that such camps under Sushasan Tihar are essential to resolving citizen grievances effectively while ensuring the benefits of government schemes reach the grassroots.

District Panchayat President Kiran Vaishnav praised the door-to-door outreach and reiterated the impact of schemes like the Food Security Act, Saraswati Bicycle Scheme, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, and Jal Jeevan Mission.

Collector Dr. S.N. Bhure informed that solution camps are being organized in 13 village clusters including Tedsera, Kopeidih, Anjora, and others. Out of 1.87 lakh applications received in the district, 1.3 lakh have already been resolved. The PMAY scheme received the most applications (~32,000).

Padma Shri Phoolbasan Bai Yadav, also present, advocated for water conservation, construction of soak pits, and shifting away from water-intensive crops like paddy during summers. She highlighted the contribution of women in sanitation and sustainable living.

Other highlights included:

  • Felicitation of meritorious students
  • Distribution of seeds and equipment by the Horticulture and Fisheries Departments
  • Traditional ceremonies like Annaprashan and Godbharai for mothers and infants
  • Visit and inspection of departmental stalls for public awareness
