Geeta Jayanti Celebrated with Grandeur by Sanskrit Bharati Rajnandgaon

Scholars Highlight the Timeless Relevance of the Bhagavad Gita at a Vibrant Cultural Event Held at Neeraj Parents Pride School

Under the auspices of Sanskrit Bharati Rajnandgaon, a grand celebration of Geeta Jayanti was held recently at Neeraj Parents Pride School, Baldev Bagh. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers and cultural scholars, who collectively honoured the timeless wisdom of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Shri Neeraj Bajpai described the Gita as the essence of life. He remarked that those who develop a deep attachment to the teachings of the Gita truly find purpose and meaning in their human life.

Presiding over the event, Dr. Chandrashekhar Sharma stated that the Bhagavad Gita is the divine embodiment of the highest and most profound ideals of living. He noted that there is no aspect of human life untouched by the Gita’s guidance, nor any problem whose solution cannot be found within its verses.

Distinguished guest Shri Kaushal Verma elaborated that the Gita inspires individuals to follow the path of righteousness and perform their duties without attachment to the results.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Shankarmuni Rai, highlighted the Gita’s teachings on Jnana Yoga, Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga, explaining how these paths help attain inner peace, detachment and self-realisation by mastering the mind.

The programme was coordinated by Dr. Akanksha Vishwakarma, District Secretary of Sanskrit Bharati. Other prominent attendees included Narendra Sahu, Provincial Education Head; Neelam Srivastava, Janpad Education Head; Satish Tiwari, Publicity Chief; Narendra Dhamgeshwar, Contact Chief; Dr. R.N. Vishwakarma, Dr. Bhagwani Nishad, Santosh Verma, Pinky Sahu, Shyama Jha, Lata Dewangan, among others.

The event concluded with a collective resolve to spread the teachings of the Gita among the younger generation and inspire value-based living.
