Former MP Abhishek Singh’s Intervention Brings Major Relief to Dongargaon Farmers — Token Issuance for Paddy Procurement Resumes

Location: Rajnandgaon, India

Farmers of Keargi (B) village under Dongargaon tehsil have finally started receiving tokens for selling their paddy at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). For several days, a persistent technical glitch in the NIC portal (NSC/Paddy Procurement Portal) had halted token generation despite completion of physical verification and girdawari.

Troubled by this issue, the affected farmers reached out to District BJP General Secretary Dikesah Sahu and Janpad Vice President Manish Sahu. The matter was immediately escalated to District President Komal Singh Rajput and District Cooperative Central Bank Chairman Sachin Singh Baghel, who then brought the issue to the attention of former MP Abhishek Singh.

A Serious Concern for Farmers

While paddy procurement across the state began on 15 November, not a single farmer from Keargi (B) could generate a token. Hundreds of farmers were unable to sell their produce, creating widespread distress and uncertainty in the village.

Upon learning of the situation, former MP Abhishek Singh intervened promptly. He held discussions with top officials of the state government and directly contacted NIC New Delhi, ensuring that the technical fault was classified under the “urgent” category for immediate resolution.

Outcome: Glitch Resolved, Token Issuance Begins

Following the intervention, the technical issue was resolved and token generation for farmers of Keargi (B) has resumed. Farmers have expressed relief and happiness, as they are now able to sell their paddy at MSP without further delay.

Acknowledgment by Farmers

The farmers and residents of Keargi (B) have expressed gratitude to:

  • District President Komal Singh Rajput
  • District Cooperative Central Bank Chairman Sachin Singh Baghel
  • District BJP General Secretary Dikesah Sahu
  • Janpad Vice President Manish Sahu
