Ensure Accurate Girdawari Reporting and Complete PMAY-G Houses Soon: In-Charge Collector

Census 2027 first phase to begin with house listing from May 1–30; officials directed to monitor high-risk pregnancies and improve service delivery

In-Charge Collector and Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Suruchi Singh chaired the weekly time-limit review meeting at the Collectorate in Rajnandgaon, directing departments to ensure accurate crop survey (girdawari) reporting and expedite the completion of houses under rural housing schemes.

She instructed officials to activate inactive bank accounts under departmental schemes and implement the “One Scheme, One Account” system while resolving banking-related issues at the earliest. Emphasis was also laid on speeding up Aadhaar updates for children through coordinated efforts between the Education Department and the Women and Child Development Department.

Focus on Girdawari and Revenue Cases

Highlighting the importance of the ongoing rabi season crop survey, Singh directed volunteers and officials to conduct field visits and ensure authentic digital survey reporting. She asked the Agriculture and Revenue Departments to closely monitor the process to maintain quality data.

Officials were also instructed to dispose of revenue cases within stipulated timelines, including uncontested mutation and land partition matters.

PMAY-G Houses and Education Outcomes Reviewed

The In-Charge Collector reviewed progress under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) and directed officials to complete all under-construction houses at the earliest. She also emphasized improving Class 10 and 12 board examination results by conducting extra classes, coaching sessions, and providing career counselling, libraries, and eco-club facilities in schools.

Census 2027 Preparations Begin

Singh informed that the first phase of Census of India 2027 would include house listing and housing enumeration from May 1 to May 30, 2026. She directed officials to organize district-level training on February 20 and 21, 2026, ensuring mandatory attendance of all concerned personnel and proper logistical arrangements.

Health Sector Directives

The meeting also reviewed health indicators, with directions to increase the number of beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana by facilitating Aadhaar updates and improving enrollment. Officials were instructed to ensure strong vaccination coverage and proper data entry in the U-WIN portal.

Singh emphasized continuous monitoring of high-risk pregnant women, coordination with private hospitals for sonography services, and awareness campaigns through community health workers to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates. Special attention was also directed toward severely malnourished children through Nutrition Rehabilitation Centres.

She further asked departments to increase the number of “Nikshay Mitras” to support tuberculosis patients and to promote public awareness on health through yoga and outreach campaigns by AYUSH and Health Departments.

Additional Collector C.L. Markandeya reviewed progress under the SVAMITVA scheme and land distribution cases, while Additional Collector Prem Prakash Sharma directed departments to submit timely responses to Assembly questions and ensure prompt action on pending High Court cases. SDMs M. Bhargava (Dongargarh), Shrikant Koram (Dongargaon), and Gautam Patil, along with district officials, were present during the meeting.
