Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw infused new energy into Rajnandgaon during his day-long visit as he participated in three significant events centred on sports, society and youth development. Addressing an archery competition, the Chhattisgarh State Youth Introduction Conference and the Asmita Hockey League, he praised the efforts of players, organisers and community leaders while urging youth to lead with discipline, dedication and strong values.


Archery Competition: A Message on Focus, Patience and Discipline

At the one-day archery competition organised by Sanskardhani Archery Association at the International Hockey Stadium premises, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasised that archery is a symbol of focus, patience and discipline — qualities that help individuals overcome any challenge.
He highlighted the growing sports ecosystem under Khelo India and reiterated India’s resolve to become a global sports leader by 2047.

Youth Introduction Conference: Encouraging Education, Culture and Social Service

Later, at the Chhattisgarh State Youth Introduction Conference and oath-taking ceremony held at Sahu Sadan, the Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated the renovated Maa Karma Temple and the newly built dome shed.
Extending best wishes to the participating youth, he stressed the importance of collective efforts in strengthening education, values and social service within the community.

The programme was attended by Raipur Rural MLA Motilal Sahu, Kasdol MLA Sandeep Sahu, District Panchayat Vice President Kiran Sahu, State Sahu Association President Dr. Nirendra Sahu, District President Bhagwat Sahu and a large number of community members, elders, youth and delegates.

Asmita Hockey League: Celebrating the Excellence of Girls in Sports

Concluding the day, Deputy Chief Minister Saw returned to the International Hockey Stadium to felicitate the winning team of the Asmita Hockey League.
He said that hockey is the pride of the nation and lauded the remarkable achievements of India’s daughters who have brought global recognition through their exceptional performances. He appreciated the efforts of coaches and parents in encouraging young girls to pursue sports.

Among those present were Chhattisgarh Oilseed Board Chairman Jitendra Sahu, Komal Singh Rajput, Sachin Baghel, Geeta Sahu, Saurabh Kothari, Ramesh Patel, Radheshyam Gupta, Rahul Sahu and several public representatives, players and citizens.


With participation in three major events in a single day, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw delivered a powerful message dedicated to sports, society and youth empowerment. His presence inspired players, coaches and community members, strengthening both cultural and social platforms in the district.
