Hyva Truck Seized Near Patekhora Checkpost for Illegal Sand Transport

Strict action against illegal excavation and transportation of minerals is continuously being carried out in the district under the instructions of Collector Jitendra Yadav. As part of the ongoing enforcement drive, authorities seized a Hyva truck involved in illegal sand transportation near the Patekhora checkpost barrier.
Vehicle Intercepted During Inspection
Naib Tehsildar of Lal Bahadur Nagar, Rajesh Netam, conducted a checking operation near the Patekhora checkpost barrier, where a Hyva truck bearing registration number CG 08 BD 5999 transporting sand from Charama (Kanker) was inspected.
During verification, the driver Hemchand, a resident of village Bairagibhedi under Chhuria tehsil, was asked to produce the required pit pass and other valid documents necessary for mineral transportation.
Failure to Produce Valid Documents
The driver failed to present valid transportation documents during the inspection. Following this violation, officials seized the vehicle along with the sand consignment and handed it over to Chichola Police Station for further legal action.
Administration Intensifies Monitoring
The Revenue Department has been conducting continuous patrolling and monitoring to prevent illegal excavation, transportation and storage of minerals across the district. Officials stated that such enforcement actions will continue in the future to curb illegal mining activities.
