“Congress Will Face Public Wrath for Its Anti-People Policies: Rajput

(Public Outrage Over Congress’s Five-Year Rule as Key City Landmarks, Including Medical College and International Hockey Stadium, Fall into Ruin)

Rajnandgaon (BTI)-BJP District President Komal Singh Rajput has launched a scathing attack on the Congress government, accusing it of failing to preserve the city’s key infrastructure and historical landmarks during its five-year tenure. Speaking to the media, Rajput criticized Congress Mayor Hema Deshmukh for neglecting the developmental strides made under the BJP’s 15-year rule.

"Congress Will Face Public Wrath for Its Anti-People Policies: Rajput Barbarika Truth

He pointed out that under BJP rule, Rajnandgaon had witnessed significant progress, including the establishment of a medical college, an international hockey stadium, and the renowned Digvijay Stadium. However, in the last five years, these landmarks have been left to decay due to the Congress government’s negligence.

“The condition of Digvijay Stadium has deteriorated to such an extent that it is now in ruins. The astroturf, once a symbol of Rajnandgaon’s hockey legacy, is in such poor shape that hosting a national hockey tournament seems impossible. Congress has not only failed to initiate any new development projects but has also been incapable of maintaining the legacy of the BJP-led Raman Singh government,” Rajput asserted.

Highlighting the plight of Rajnandgaon’s sports infrastructure, he lamented that the city’s once-thriving hockey culture has been severely affected due to Congress’s apathy. “Rajnandgaon was known as a nursery for hockey, but in the last five years, players have suffered due to the crumbling state of facilities. The Congress government’s negligence has severely impacted the sporting spirit of the city,” he added.

Congress Undermined Democracy for Political Gain
Rajput also accused the Congress of subverting democratic principles to maintain control over municipal bodies. “During our tenure, the BJP introduced a democratic system where mayors and municipal council chairpersons were directly elected by the people. However, upon coming to power, Congress realized that they couldn’t win through fair elections. Instead, they manipulated the system, used their authority to capture power through the back door, and took control of municipal corporations and councils,” he alleged.

He praised the newly elected Vishnu Deo Sai-led BJP government for restoring democratic norms in municipal governance. Calling upon the citizens to punish Congress for its “undemocratic and anti-people policies,” Rajput urged them to vote for the BJP in the upcoming elections on February 11 and “bid farewell to Congress once and for all.”
