Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap Joins Shramdaan to Clean Markandi River Ghat, Natural Water Pond and Historic Temple Premises

A cleanliness campaign was organised at Rampur Ashram in Chapka Gram Panchayat of Bastar district under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, with active participation from local residents and public representatives.
Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap joined the initiative and participated in shramdaan by sweeping the premises alongside local people and elected representatives. The campaign focused on cleaning the historic temple complex, the Markandi River ghat and a natural water pond, conveying a message of cleanliness and conservation of water resources.
Collective Effort to Keep Public and Religious Places Clean
Local villagers and public representatives participated enthusiastically in the campaign. Together, they removed garbage, plastic and other waste from the river ghat, natural water pond and areas surrounding the temple premises.

During the drive, Minister Kedar Kashyap emphasised the need to make cleanliness a collective responsibility. He also stressed increasing public participation in keeping religious and public places, along with natural water sources, clean and well-maintained.
Villagers Take Pledge to Protect Water Sources
On the occasion, local residents collectively pledged to keep water sources clean and pristine. The campaign highlighted the importance of community participation in maintaining cleanliness and protecting natural resources.
Those who participated in the shramdaan included Vedwati Kashyap, President of Bastar District Panchayat; Dinesh Kashyap, Chairman of the District Central Cooperative Bank; other Panchayat representatives, the Swachh Bharat Mission team and a large number of local villagers.
The initiative under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan brought residents and public representatives together for a shared effort to promote cleanliness and safeguard local water resources.
