Directions issued for smart net meters, error-free Girdawari, faster revenue case disposal and strict action against drug abuse

Collector Jitendra Yadav reviewed the progress of various government schemes and development works in the district during the weekly Time-Limit Meeting held today.
The Collector directed officials to ensure effective implementation of priority schemes of the government and timely delivery of benefits to eligible beneficiaries. He also instructed departments to ensure quality disposal of pending applications and cases and provide relief to applicants within the prescribed time limit.
Smart Net Meters for PM Surya Ghar Beneficiaries
During the review of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, Collector Jitendra Yadav expressed displeasure over cases where solar panels had been installed at beneficiaries’ homes but smart net meters had not yet been installed.
He directed officials of the Electricity Department to identify all such beneficiaries who had been left out and ensure that smart net meters are installed at their homes at the earliest.
He stressed that eligible beneficiaries should receive the benefits of the scheme within the stipulated time.
Revenue Cases and Girdawari Work
The Collector directed officials to accelerate the disposal of revenue cases and give priority to pending matters.
He said there should be no unnecessary delay in resolving revenue-related cases concerning the general public. Officials were instructed to regularly review such cases and ensure their quality disposal within the prescribed time limit.
He also directed that action against illegal encroachment on government land should continue and that strict action be taken as per rules wherever encroachments are found.
The Collector instructed all SDMs and Tehsildars to regularly review the Girdawari process. He directed that Patwaris and Surveyors complete Girdawari work on priority in an error-free and quality manner.

Push for PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana
The Collector directed officials to encourage citizens to adopt natural and clean solar energy and undertake extensive awareness activities about the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
He said solar energy is an important means of meeting electricity requirements while also contributing to environmental protection.
Under the scheme, 6,190 solar panels have so far been installed in the district, enabling a large number of families to move towards clean and green energy.
He instructed all urban local bodies and Gram Panchayats to conduct extensive awareness activities so that the benefits of the scheme reach more citizens.
Officials were directed to provide information on eligibility, benefits and the application process through Surya Sabhas, publicity campaigns and public awareness programmes at the local level.
The Collector instructed the concerned departments to work in coordination and connect as many eligible families as possible with the scheme, promoting the use of solar energy while enabling citizens to save electricity and gain economic benefits.
Strict Action Against Drug Abuse
Collector Yadav directed officials to prepare an effective action plan and undertake strict and continuous action against the illegal drug trade and its growing impact in the district.
He instructed the concerned departments and officials to work in coordination to ensure effective control over the illegal sale and transportation of narcotic substances.
He also directed officials to conduct public awareness activities among youth and citizens regarding the harmful effects of drug abuse.
The Collector stressed the need to strengthen the monitoring system and ensure action as per rules to effectively prevent the spread of drug abuse.
Regular Inspection of Expired Medicines
The Collector also reviewed issues related to the quality of medicines and public health in the district.
He directed regular and continuous inspection of expired medicines at medical shops and concerned institutions. He instructed officials to take action as per rules if expired medicines are found being sold or made available.
He also stressed that such medicines must not reach the general public under any circumstances.
Officials were directed to continue regular inspections and checks effectively. The Collector said that negligence in matters related to public health would not be accepted and that responsibility would be fixed and action taken as per rules wherever irregularities are found.
Review of Public Grievances
CEO, Zila Panchayat, Durga Prasad Adhikari conducted a department-wise review of applications received through CM Jan Darshan, CM Helpline, PG Portal and Collector Jan Darshan.
He directed all heads of departments to ensure that the applications received are disposed of within the prescribed time limit.
Additional Collector C.L. Markandey, Additional Collector Prem Prakash Sharma, Municipal Corporation Commissioner G.R. Markam, along with district-level officers, were present at the meeting.
