District Collector Jitendra Yadav convened a meeting of the District Road Safety Committee today at the Collectorate conference hall to review ongoing measures for improving road safety and reducing accident-related fatalities.

During the meeting, the Collector instructed officials to identify and mark accident-prone “black spots” across the district. He emphasized that locations with a history of accidents, or those with high risk potential, must be prioritized for immediate repair and rectification work.

Highlighting the need to curb road fatalities, the Collector called for strict enforcement of traffic regulations. He directed authorities to take firm action against individuals riding without helmets and to intensify enforcement under the Motor Vehicles Act. Awareness campaigns were also encouraged to educate citizens on the importance of wearing helmets and following safety norms.
