Collector Inspects New CT Scan Machine and Radiodiagnosis Unit at Government Medical College

Stresses on maintaining reliability of services, directs to maximize benefits for Ayushman Card holders

Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure inspected the newly installed CT Scan machine and Radiodiagnosis unit at Government Medical College, Pendri today and reviewed the progress of ongoing works. He directed that the installation and operational setup of the CT Scan machine be completed by the first week of September to ensure timely availability of services for patients.

Dr. Bhure emphasized that the Government Medical College, Pendri should be a fully equipped center of healthcare services for the public. He instructed that all doctors, nurses, and staff must behave sensitively with patients and maintain the trust and credibility of the institution. He also suggested counseling sessions for staff and nurses to improve patient interaction.

  • Preparation for the foundation laying of a Trauma Center
  • Installation of a statue of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee within the campus

  • Greater utilization of Ayushman Card benefits (currently 84% of cards blocked, with scope for further improvement)
  • Proposal for creating a new floor for the Cardiology Cath Lab project
  • Review of CSSD construction, modular kitchen facility, and other hospital upgrades

The Collector also stressed on strong coordination between the District Hospital and the Medical College to ensure seamless healthcare delivery.

The inspection was attended by Dean of the Medical College Dr. Pankaj Luka, Joint Director and Hospital Superintendent Dr. Atul Deshkar, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Netram Navratan, Deputy Collector Prakash Tandon, Civil Surgeon Dr. U.K. Chandravanshi, Deputy Superintendent Dr. Pawan Jethani, HoD Gynecology Dr. Meena Armo, HoD Radiology Dr. Aradhana Toppo, Executive Engineer PWD Mr. Chourasia, along with other doctors and officials.
