Collector Inspects District Hospital, Issues Notice to Absent Doctors

Collector Mr. Jitendra Yadav conducted a surprise inspection of the Government District Hospital located at Basantpur, Rajnandgaon, on Friday. During his visit, he reviewed several departments including the Outpatient Department (OPD), pharmacy, medicine distribution unit, pediatric ward, and paying ward.

The Collector personally interacted with patients to understand their experiences regarding treatment and available facilities at the hospital. He instructed the medical staff to ensure proper arrangements for patient care and emphasized the importance of maintaining continuous cleanliness across all hospital sections.

Mr. Yadav expressed strong displeasure over inadequate hygiene observed during his visit to the security ward of the 100-bed Mother and Child Hospital. He directed officials to immediately rectify the situation and ensure sustained cleanliness.

Furthermore, he issued directives to serve show-cause notices to doctors who were found absent from duty during the inspection. The Collector also visited the postnatal ward, met with attendants of patients, and reviewed the quality of meals and other amenities provided.

He took note of ongoing construction work within the hospital premises and instructed that it be completed at the earliest. Civil Surgeon Dr. Chandravanshi and other hospital officers and staff were present during the inspection.
