Raipur hosted the much-anticipated Chhattisgarh Mining Conclave 2025 on October 5, 2025, with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai delivering a keynote address that highlighted the state’s commitment to scientific and innovative mining. The two-day event, attended by industry leaders, policymakers, and environmental experts, aims to position Chhattisgarh as a global hub for responsible mineral extraction.

Sai emphasized how the adoption of advanced technologies and eco-friendly methods is rewriting the narrative of development in the region, which boasts vast reserves of coal, iron ore, and bauxite. Key discussions included strategies to curb illegal mining, enhance community welfare through revenue sharing, and integrate digital tools for transparent operations.

This initiative aligns with the state’s broader economic agenda, projecting a 15% growth in the mining sector by 2026, while addressing long-standing issues like environmental degradation and tribal displacement. The event concludes on October 6 with policy resolutions expected to influence national frameworks.
