Women, public representatives and social workers participate in rally promoting women’s political empowerment and 33% reservation

A grand public awareness padayatra was organised at the Dongargarh block headquarters in support of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, witnessing enthusiastic participation from women, public representatives, and social workers who collectively spread the message of women’s empowerment.

The rally began from Mahavir Talab and passed through Jaystambh Chowk before concluding at Golbazar, drawing significant public attention throughout the route.
Awareness Rally Promotes Women Empowerment
During the padayatra, participants conveyed messages related to women’s dignity, empowerment, and equal participation in governance. Women actively engaged citizens through awareness slogans and public outreach activities.
A signature campaign was also conducted with the message “Ab Netritva Ki Baari Hai, Nari Shakti Vandan Ki Jimmedari Hai”, encouraging public support for the initiative. Participation was further facilitated through a missed-call campaign, allowing citizens to register their support digitally.

Support for 33% Reservation in Legislatures
Women participants welcomed the provision under the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam granting 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies.
Expressing appreciation, participants extended gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the legislation represents a historic step toward strengthening women’s political participation and ensuring equal opportunities in decision-making processes.
Participants emphasized that the Act would play a transformative role in empowering women politically and enhancing their representation in governance structures.
