Acting on the directives of District Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, officials of the Agriculture Department conducted surprise inspections of private fertilizer outlets across Rajnandgaon district to ensure fair storage and distribution of chemical fertilizers during the ongoing Kharif season.

During the inspections, seven private fertilizer dealers were scrutinized by fertilizer inspectors. At Dadaji Agri Clinic, Ganj Mandi, Rajnandgaon, it was found that the dealer was selling fertilizers without a valid license. Authorities immediately sealed the premises and ceased operations.

Deputy Director of Agriculture, Mr. Tikam Singh Thakur, appealed to all licensed fertilizer dealers to strictly distribute fertilizers to farmers at government-fixed rates and to record all sales through the POS system as mandated.
