ABVP’s 58th State Conference Concludes in Bhilai, Akshat Srivastava Appointed State Executive Member

Three-day Chhattisgarh convention focuses on student welfare, education reforms and nation-building

The 58th State Conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Chhattisgarh, was successfully held from December 19 to 21 at Kala Mandir, Birsa Munda Nagar, in the steel city of Bhilai, Durg district. The three-day convention served as a major platform for deliberations on student welfare, improving the quality of education, organisational expansion and nation-building.

The conference commenced with the hoisting of the ABVP flag followed by the inaugural session. During the opening ceremony, newly elected State President Dr Vikas Pandey and State Secretary Anant Soni formally assumed charge. The inaugural session was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao as the chief guest, while ABVP National Vice-President Dr Ashutosh Mandavi was present as the special guest.

Several senior organisational leaders graced the conference, including National Organising Secretary Ashish Chauhan, Central Region Organising Secretary Chetas Sukhadiya, All India In-charge of Tribal Affairs Nilesh Solanki, Regional Tribal Affairs Head Ramdhar, and State Organising Secretary Mahesh Sakat. Various sessions during the conference focused on challenges within the education system, student-related issues and strengthening organisational activities across the state.

Before the conclusion of the conference, organisational responsibilities for the new term were announced. Akshat Srivastava, an active ABVP worker from Rajnandgaon, was appointed as a State Executive Member. The appointment was made in recognition of his consistent work on student-centric issues and his active role within the organisation. His selection was welcomed with enthusiasm by ABVP workers across Rajnandgaon district and the state.

Expressing gratitude after his appointment, Akshat Srivastava said the responsibility was both an honour and a significant commitment. He pledged to work with full dedication towards addressing students’ issues, promoting educational reforms and strengthening nationalist ideology among the youth.

The conference concluded with the collective slogan of “Gyan–Sheel–Ekta” (Knowledge, Character and Unity), reaffirming ABVP’s resolve to continue its struggle for student welfare and nation-building.
