PM Awas Yojana-Rural Survey to be Completed by April 15
Rajnandgaon (BTI)- Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the District Panchayat, Ms. Suruchi Singh, conducted a review meeting via video conferencing to assess the implementation and progress of various government schemes and rural development programs under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. She issued key directives to officials to ensure efficient execution of these programs and emphasized timely completion of ongoing initiatives.
Priority to PM Awas Yojana-Rural Survey
Ms. Singh laid special emphasis on the Prime Minister Awas Yojana-Rural (PMAY-G) survey, instructing officials to prioritize and complete the survey by April 15, 2025. She stressed that no eligible beneficiary should be left out and directed strict action against surveyors failing to include rightful beneficiaries. Additionally, she urged officials to motivate beneficiaries who have not yet initiated house construction under the scheme.
Progress of Key Development Programs
The CEO also reviewed the progress of Other Backward Classes Development Authority projects and the Mukhyamantri Samagra Gramin Vikas Yojana, instructing officials to submit cost estimates by the upcoming Monday.
Further, under the Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana, she mandated 100% Ayushman Card registration for senior citizens aged 70 years and above by April 15. She also emphasized the timely resolution of pending cases from Mukhyamantri Jan Darshan and Collector Jan Darshan programs to ensure citizen grievances are addressed efficiently.
Instructions for Newly Elected Panchayat Representatives
Ms. Singh directed officials to expedite the GST registration of newly elected Sarpanches and ensure their enrollment on the GEM (Government e-Marketplace) portal. She also instructed that:
- Newly elected Sarpanch, Up-Sarpanch, and Panch members’ mobile numbers be uploaded on Google Sheets.
- Signatures of new Sarpanches be authenticated promptly.
- A detailed report on elected minority representatives in Gram Panchayats be submitted without delay.
Financial Planning and Future Roadmap
The meeting also covered the 15th Finance Commission’s work plan for FY 2025-26, with directives to submit the finalized plan by April 15. Officials were urged to complete all development projects within stipulated deadlines.

The review meeting witnessed active participation from district and block-level Panchayat officials via video conferencing. The CEO’s directives underscored the importance of efficient governance, timely execution, and beneficiary inclusion in government schemes, ensuring effective rural development in the district.
