Former District Panchayat President Geeta Ghasi Sahu Inspects Joshilamati Paddy Procurement Centre; Farmers Extend Warm Welcome

Assures swift resolution of farmers’ grievances; warns officials of strict action over negligence or irregularities

Former District Panchayat President Geeta Ghasi Sahu visited the Joshilamati paddy procurement centre in the Khujji Assembly segment on Thursday and conducted a detailed review of the ongoing procurement arrangements. Interacting with farmers present at the centre, she listened to their concerns and directed officials to take immediate corrective measures.

During the inspection, Sahu emphasised that ensuring a hassle-free experience for farmers must remain the administration’s top priority. She stressed that the paddy procurement process should be completely transparent, smooth, and timely, supported by continuous monitoring. Issuing a stern warning, she said that any form of mismanagement, negligence, or technical lapses would invite immediate action.

She assured farmers that their issues would be addressed promptly and reiterated that the convenience of the “annadata” is of utmost importance. All necessary facilities at procurement centres will be ensured for their comfort and ease.

Farmers warmly welcomed Sahu during her visit and shared their views and concerns. District Kisan Morcha General Secretary Ghasiram Sahu, Komal Sahu, and a large number of farmers were present on the occasion.
