Farmer Nandkishore Expresses Happiness After Selling Paddy on First Day of Kharif Marketing Season 2025-26

Thanks Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai for offering ₹3,100 per quintal; praises online token system and direct credit facility

The Chhattisgarh Government has commenced paddy procurement for the Kharif Marketing Year 2025-26 under the Support Price System and the Krishak Unnati Yojana. The state has fixed the procurement rate at ₹3,100 per quintal, allowing farmers to sell up to 21 quintals per acre.

On the first day of procurement, Farmer Nandkishore from village Bhodiya in Rajnandgaon block arrived at the Singhola Paddy Procurement Centre to sell his paddy. Expressing satisfaction, he praised the government’s initiative under the support price and Krishak Unnati Yojana.

He shared that he owns 85 decimal agricultural land and had booked an online token on 13 November to sell over 17 quintals of paddy. Delighted with the smooth and transparent process, Nandkishore said he was able to sell his paddy easily on the first day itself due to the government’s efficient arrangements.

He highlighted that the online token system through the Tunhar Hath Mobile App, along with the availability of electronic weighing machines at the centre, ensured a quick and hassle-free process. He further appreciated the transparent operations at the procurement centre and the availability of essential facilities such as shade and drinking water for farmers.

Lauding the government’s decision of direct payment to farmers’ bank accounts, Nandkishore said the system saves both time and effort for farmers, making the procurement process highly beneficial.

He thanked Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai for offering a fair and profitable price for their produce. He added that the government’s decision to purchase the farmers’ actual yield at 21 quintals per acre at ₹3,100 per quintal reflects genuine respect for farmers’ hard work and needs.
