District Panchayat General Assembly Held in Rajnandgaon

President Kiran Vaishnav reviews progress of schemes; directs officials to ensure timely and transparent execution of projects

The General Assembly meeting of the Rajnandgaon District Panchayat was held under the chairmanship of District Panchayat President Smt. Kiran Vaishnav. In the meeting, a comprehensive review of various schemes and programmes being implemented by different departments was conducted, along with an assessment of financial allocations.

During the session, information regarding works approved under the 15th Finance Commission was presented. President Vaishnav instructed officials to prioritise essential works and ensure their completion within the stipulated timelines. She stressed that the benefits of schemes administered by the Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Departments must reach all eligible beneficiaries.

She further directed the Social Welfare Department and the Women and Child Development Department to intensify public outreach and awareness of their schemes. The Agriculture and Cooperation Department was advised to ensure smooth preparations for the upcoming Rabi season.

Emphasising transparency and quality, Vaishnav said that funds allocated under the 15th Finance Commission should be utilised responsibly. The Statistics Department was instructed to issue birth and death certificates within the prescribed timeframe.

Officials also shared information about the approval granted by the government for the renovation of the Madhiyaan Reservoir.

The meeting was attended by District Panchayat Vice Presidents and members including Kiran Barle, Gopal Singh Bhuarya, Jagriti Chunni Yadu, Prashant Kodape, Sheela Sinha, Anita Mandavi, Bhiram Mandavi, Mahendra Yadav, Angeshwar Deshmukh, along with Janpad President Sanjay Sinha, Ranjita Padoti, Lata Sinha, Pratima Chandrakar, Chief Executive Officer Suruchi Singh, and officials and employees from various departments.
