On the 350th Martyrdom Day, Rajnandgaon Sets World Book Record with Collective Recitation of ‘Shalok Mahla 9’

Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh on Saturday participated in the collective recitation programme dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, organized at the Digvijay Stadium, Rajnandgaon, by the Guruji Sangat Welfare Society. The event, titled ‘Shalok Mahla 9 Collective Path’, witnessed participation from thousands of devotees, marking a historic feat and setting a record in the State’s World Book of Records.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Raman Singh paid heartfelt tributes to the 9th Sikh Guru, describing him as a courageous warrior, spiritual luminary, and protector of the oppressed, whose unwavering stand against religious persecution earned him the revered title “Hind Di Chadar.”
“Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji sacrificed his life to defend humanity and safeguard the dignity of faith. His sacrifice for the unity and integrity of India remains unparalleled in world history,” Dr. Singh stated.

He commended the Guruji Sangat Welfare Society and the citizens of Rajnandgaon for organizing the grand event and elevating it to international recognition.
“People of all communities are present here today. This unity is our strength. Rajnandgaon has brought pride to the nation,” he added.

The programme witnessed the presence of Mayor Madhusudan Yadav, former mayor Hema Deshmukh, Guruji Sangat Welfare Society President Mohan Singh Dhalla, Komal Singh Rajput, Khubchand Parkh, Sachin Baghel, Santosh Agrawal, Sanki Bagga, Baldev Singh Bhatia, Padma Shri Pukhraj Bafna, ABIS Group Director Bahadur Ali, along with a large number of devotees, community leaders, and school children.
