Responding to growing complaints from residents of Srishti Colony regarding illegal encroachments and unauthorized constructions, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav has assured that the Municipal Corporation will take firm and immediate action to restore order and protect public property.
A delegation of colony residents met the Mayor on Thursday, submitting a memorandum detailing that certain individuals had been illegally constructing boundary walls and structures on public roads, government land, and common areas. The encroachments, they said, have not only obstructed the free movement of vehicles and pedestrians but also created inconvenience for school buses and emergency access.
Residents further expressed concern that continued encroachment poses a serious threat to the colony’s gardens, parks, and playgrounds, diminishing open spaces meant for public use.

Taking cognizance of the issue, Mayor Yadav directed Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma and concerned officials to conduct an on-site inspection and initiate necessary legal and administrative measures. He stated, “Public welfare is our top priority. The Corporation will take decisive steps to ensure smooth access and maintain the planned layout of the colony. No illegal occupation will be tolerated.”
Yadav emphasized that the city’s aesthetic and civic order must be maintained, and all such encroachments would be dealt with strictly under municipal laws. The Corporation team is expected to begin ground inspection shortly and submit a report for immediate enforcement action.
Residents of Srishti Colony thanked the Mayor for his prompt attention and expressed confidence that the Corporation’s intervention would soon restore normalcy and preserve the beauty and livability of their neighborhood.
