Students Receive Free Health Check-ups, Nutrition Guidance, and Awareness on Women’s Wellness

Under the “Healthy Women, Empowered Families” campaign, a health awareness camp for female students was organized at Government Kamla Devi Rathi Women’s Postgraduate College, Rajnandgaon. The initiative aims to strengthen women’s health and empower families, linking women’s well-being directly to national development.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Netram Navratan highlighted that the campaign emphasizes women’s healthcare and nutrition. The camp provided screenings for anemia, high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, and other health conditions, along with vaccinations and nutritional health services. Early identification and management of health issues aim to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates.
Dr. Navratan also informed participants about various government schemes, including the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program, urging psychosocial support for TB patients. Dr. Prakash Khunte, MD Medicine, Government Medical College Rajnandgaon, gave detailed guidance on nutrition and balanced diet for women and girls.

During the camp, students underwent health check-ups, received expert advice, and were provided with free medicines. The event was attended by Manibhaskar Gupta, Chairperson of Jan Bhagidari Committee, Dr. Dheeraj Bhavnani, Dr. Soumya Chelak, Dr. Lucky Netam, Dr. Pooja Meshram, Dr. Sakshi Gajbhie, Nalini Sagre, Staff Nurse Jyoti Yadav, Dr. Omkar Lal Srivastava, college principal, faculty, and numerous students.

The campaign continues to play a pivotal role in raising awareness about women’s health, improving nutrition, and promoting preventive healthcare at the community level.
