The event, scheduled for September 17, 2025, is being jointly organized by the district administration and the Indian Red Cross Society to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
During the inspection, Dr. Bhure directed officials to ensure smooth arrangements for patient registration counters, seating facilities, and overall crowd management. He emphasized that no citizen should face inconvenience while availing the health services. Adequate OPD rooms, registration desks, volunteers, and signboards were instructed to be put in place.

The Collector also inspected OPD rooms, doctors’ chambers, laboratory testing and sample collection areas, and medicine distribution counters. He directed authorities to ensure proper drinking water, cleanliness, and sanitation throughout the venue. To facilitate access, free transport services will be arranged from the bus stand to the medical college, along with signage and banners at key locations to guide participants.
The mega camp aims to promote health awareness and provide specialized care for patients with serious illnesses. Medical experts from both government and private hospitals in Raipur, Durg, and Bhilai will participate. Specialists in cardiology, pediatric cardiology, gastroenterology, oncology, nephrology, neurology, orthopedics, and general medicine and surgery are expected to provide consultations.

Registrations for the camp are already open at all primary and community health centers across the district, the District Hospital in Basantpur, and the Government Medical College in Pendri.
