On Bhojwani’s death anniversary, a ₹20 lakh gateway project begins in Rajnandgaon to commemorate his legacy

Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh laid the foundation stone for a memorial gateway in honor of late minister Leelaram Bhojwani on his death anniversary at Gaurav Path, Chowkhadiya Para, Rajnandgaon. The gateway, costing ₹20 lakh, is being constructed as a lasting tribute to the veteran leader’s public service and political journey.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Singh recalled Bhojwani as a simple, approachable, and dedicated leader whose contributions spanned from his early days as a municipal councilor to his tenure as a cabinet minister. “He worked with remarkable dedication, particularly as the state’s Labour Minister, ensuring that the interests of workers across Chhattisgarh and Rajnandgaon were safeguarded. His work ethic and humility will never be forgotten,” Dr. Singh said, emphasizing that the gateway would stand as a permanent reminder of his service and perseverance.

The event witnessed the presence of several prominent leaders and dignitaries, including MP Santosh Pandey, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav, District Cooperative Bank Chairman Sachin Baghel, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Chairman Neelu Sharma, Chhattisgarh Labour Welfare Board Chairman Yogesh Dutt Mishra, former MP Abhishek Singh, former MLA Ramji Bharti, social worker Komal Singh Rajput, Khubchand Parakh, Santosh Agrawal, Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, SDM Khem Lal Verma, along with several councilors and a large gathering of local citizens.
The memorial gateway is expected to serve not only as an architectural landmark but also as a symbol of Bhojwani’s tireless commitment to public service.
