Over 100 participants from across the state compete for spots in the senior national championship team

The first day of the seminar featured expert-led training sessions where players were guided on technical skills, competition rules, and strategic play. The second day was dedicated to selection matches, in which participants delivered outstanding performances.
Competitors hailed from districts including Bastar, Kanker, Kondagaon, Chirmiri, Balod, Raipur, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Bilaspur, Kabirdham, Durg, and Rajnandgaon, among others.

The closing ceremony was graced by several dignitaries including Municipal Council President Raman Dongre, senior BJP leader Amit Jain, City Mandal President Jasmeet Singh Banoaana, District Sports Association President Vivek Monu Bhandari, Principal of Saraswati Shishu Mandir Prakash Yadav, District Scout-Guide Secretary Devendra Ambade, and Block Sports Officer Rajkumar Nandeshwar.
Also in attendance were Jujitsu Association of Chhattisgarh General Secretary Rana Ajay Singh, Balod District Secretary Suresh Prasad Shandilya, Assistant Secretary Baburao Janbandhu, Raipur District Secretary Suraj Verma, Chirmiri District Secretary Asjad Raza, Kanker District Secretary Rikki Ram Sahu, Durg District Secretary Deva Sahu, Bastar District Secretary Yateshwar Rao, Kabirdham District Secretary Durgesh Modghare, Rajnandgaon District Assistant Secretary Tejas Rahul, and District Secretary Tarun Kumar Varkade.
During the ceremony, previous winners were felicitated with mementoes and certificates by District President Vivek Monu Bhandari, who emphasised that such state-level events provide players with a platform to advance to national and international arenas.

Municipal Council President Raman Dongre remarked, “Sports are not just about winning or losing, but about instilling discipline, confidence, and team spirit. Hosting such events in Dongargarh will inspire more youth to take up sports.”
Senior BJP leader Amit Jain added, “Chhattisgarh athletes are making their mark nationally and internationally. This event proves that even small towns can produce big players, given proper training and opportunities.”
Principal Prakash Yadav of Saraswati Shishu Mandir highlighted, “Physical education and sports are essential for the holistic development of students. Martial arts like Jujitsu not only teach self-defence but also improve mental and physical balance.”
The atmosphere throughout the event was charged with sportsmanship, camaraderie, and mutual respect. The enthusiasm of spectators, the determination of the players, and the motivating words of the guests made the event truly memorable. The organisers concluded with a vote of thanks and a pledge to hold the event on an even larger scale in the future.
