In a heartfelt tribute to one of Chhattisgarh’s most beloved literary voices, the final creation of Padma Shri Dr. Surendra Dubey, titled Main Chhattisgarh Bolta Hoon (I Speak Chhattisgarh), was unveiled at a dignified ceremony in Raipur’s Maharaja Agrasen College auditorium, Samta Colony.
The event, attended by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh as chief guests, brought together a distinguished gathering of renowned authors and cultural figures from across the country, lending the occasion both literary and emotional weight.

A poignant aspect of the ceremony was that Dr. Dubey himself had booked the hall and planned to launch the book on his birthday. However, following his untimely demise, his wife took on the responsibility, ensuring the book was released on the date he had intended.
Representing Rajnandgaon, Abha Srivastava expressed her pride in being part of the historic moment. “I have had the privilege of sharing the stage with Dr. Dubey on several occasions. To witness the release of his final work is both an honour and an emotional moment for me,” she said.
The book, which celebrates the voice, culture, and identity of Chhattisgarh, stands as a testament to Dr. Dubey’s enduring contribution to literature and his deep love for his homeland.
