In the spirit of Raksha Bandhan, the BJP Mahila Morcha in Rajnandgaon organized a unique campaign to honor Indian soldiers. On Monday, 7,000 rakhis were sent from the city as part of the ‘Operation Sipahi Raksha Sutra’, a nationwide initiative that aims to deliver 21 lakh sacred threads to members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and border security forces.

The symbolic event took place at the Chhattisgarh Mahtari statue near the Town Hall, where women tied the rakhis with prayers and emotional messages. The campaign is being run in collaboration with Sipahi and Ex-Servicemen Welfare Associations, who have pledged to reach lakhs of soldiers in this emotional outreach.

District BJP President Komal Singh Rajput said:

“This campaign strengthens the emotional bond between citizens and soldiers. It’s a way of expressing our gratitude and pride for their unmatched valor, especially in light of missions like Operation Sindoor.”

Devkumari Sahu, General Secretary of the BJP Mahila Morcha, led the campaign in Rajnandgaon. The event witnessed active participation from women party workers, local leaders, and Anganwadi workers.
