Excise Constable Recruitment Exam Conducted Across 34 Centers

Over 11,000 Candidates Appear; Additional Collector C.L. Markandeya Inspects Exam Centers

The Excise Constable Recruitment Examination, organized by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CG Vyapam), was held today across 34 centers in Rajnandgaon district, with 11,227 candidates appearing for the exam.

In adherence to the instructions issued by District Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, Additional Collector Shri C.L. Markandeya conducted on-ground inspections at multiple exam centers. He interacted with center superintendents to gather updates on exam operations and gave essential directions to ensure the seamless execution of the exam. He emphasized strict compliance with CG Vyapam guidelines.

Deputy Collector Manoj Markam and SDOP Dilip Kumar Sisodiya were also present during the inspection.

The exam was conducted under stringent protocols laid out by Vyapam. Candidates were instructed to report at least 2.5 hours prior to the exam for frisking and identity verification. Entry to exam centers was strictly closed 30 minutes before commencement, i.e., at 10:30 AM.

Candidates were required to wear light-colored half-sleeved clothing. Those wearing religious or cultural attire were asked to report early for additional security checks. Slippers were the only allowed footwear, while all forms of jewelry, electronic gadgets, wristwatches, wallets, belts, caps, and similar items were strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

The use of unfair means would result in disqualification and severe disciplinary action. Candidates were not allowed to leave the exam hall either in the first or last 30 minutes of the exam duration.

All examinees were instructed to thoroughly read and follow the guidelines printed on the admit cards issued by CG Vyapam.
