Bollywood actress and #MeToo movement pioneer Tanushree Dutta has shared a distressing video on Instagram, claiming that she is being harassed in her own home. The video, which has gone viral, shows Dutta emotionally distraught, visibly in tears as she pleads for help.
“I am being harassed in my own home. Mujhe mere hi ghar mein pareshaan kiya jaa raha hai,” she says in the video, crying and wiping away her tears.
Dutta stated that she had contacted the police, who advised her to come to the police station to file a formal complaint. “I just called the cops. They came and asked me to come to the police station to launch a proper complaint. I will probably go tomorrow or day after. I am not well. Mujhe itna pareshaan kiya gaya hai pichle 4 to 5 saalon mein,” she said.
Tanushree Dutta first gained nationwide attention in 2018 when she made explosive allegations against veteran actor Nana Patekar, triggering India’s #MeToo movement. She now claims that the psychological toll from years of alleged harassment has affected her health and livelihood.

“Meri tabiyat kharab ho gayi hai. Main kuch kaam nahi kar paa rahi hoon. Mera pura ghar messy ho chuka hai,” she lamented in the video.
The actress further claimed that her troubles extend beyond emotional stress — alleging that she is unable to hire domestic help due to planted maids stealing from her home.
“I cannot even hire maids because they planted maids in my house. I had such a bad experience with maids. They came and stole stuff from my house. I have to do all my work. I am being troubled in my own house. Please someone help me,” she pleaded.
In the caption accompanying the video, Dutta wrote:
“I’m sick and tired of this harassment!! It’s been going on since 2018 #metoo Aaj fed up hokar maine police ko call kiya. Please someone help me. Do something before it’s too late.”
Her post has drawn sympathy and concern from social media users, many of whom are urging authorities to ensure her safety and investigate the matter thoroughly.
As of now, no formal public response has been issued by the police or any government body regarding her allegations.
