In a commendable step toward promoting student health, PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dongargarh has initiated a weekly health camp every Friday, organized in collaboration with the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU). The initiative ensures comprehensive health monitoring and early diagnosis for schoolchildren.
The medical team, comprising Dr. N. Singh, Mrs. Sahu, and a laboratory technician, carries out a range of health screenings such as blood pressure, sugar levels, and other routine tests. In addition to physical health check-ups, the camp also offers counseling services for students who require emotional or psychological support.
The entire operation is being efficiently managed by staff nurse Amrapali Gajbhiye, who not only supervises the camp but also maintains complete health records of the students. She is responsible for the overall medical care within the school.

In cases where further medical attention is needed, students are referred to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) with proper coordination from the school administration to ensure seamless care.
The initiative is supported by dedicated house teachers and staff members, whose active participation has been instrumental in its success.
Acting Principal Mr. Sanjay Kumar Mandal extended his gratitude to the District Medical Officer and Block Medical Officer for their continued support. He emphasized that such regular health interventions are crucial for the physical and mental development of students and expressed heartfelt thanks on behalf of the entire Navodaya family.
