The Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited has extended the Chief Minister’s Electricity Bill Payment Settlement Scheme-2026 until December 31, 2026, providing additional time for eligible consumers to settle their outstanding electricity bills.

The scheme has benefited more than 65,000 consumers across four districts under the Rajnandgaon region. So far, eligible consumers have received total relief of ₹19.46 crore through concessions on outstanding principal dues and surcharges.

The initiative aims to provide financial relief to economically weaker households and farmers struggling with old electricity bill arrears.

Scheme Implemented Across Four Districts

The scheme is being implemented across Rajnandgaon, Kabirdham, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, and Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki districts.

Eligible consumers in the Below Poverty Line (BPL), domestic and agricultural categories can receive concessions on the settlement of old dues, subject to the provisions of the scheme.

According to the electricity distribution company, 65,062 consumers have benefited so far. These include 31,392 inactive consumers and 33,669 eligible active consumers.

The beneficiaries have collectively deposited approximately ₹5.89 crore towards their outstanding electricity bills, contributing to the company’s revenue collection.
